We stayed at the Backpacker’s Inn last night. It’s great little hostel in Interlaken. The room was clean, beds were comfy and not having a bathroom and shower in the room really wasn’t a big deal. The bathroom was just across the hall and the showers were next to our room. It included a free breakfast and free wireless internet, which was awesome.
We were able to attend the temple in Zolikofen yesterday. What a wonderful day. I would dare say perfect. We had the most enjoyable time. When we arrived at the temple they asked us to be the witness couple for the next session in French. You can imagine the tiny bit of hesitation that must have entered our minds. We let them know that we did not speak ANY french.
Ok, here is the basic itinerary for our trip so you have an idea where we will be when.
Generally speaking, we are staying with our good friends Jeff and Celina Lay in Rotterdam, Netherlands, although part of the trip we will be on our own in Switzerland and France. Jeff and Celina lived two doors down from us in Springville, and are the best thing that happened to us there. Jeff works for Novell and is currently working in their European office in Rotterdam.

There’s no time like the present to start a blog. Especially right before a big trip to Europe. With 3 days and counting left before we take off we are scrambling to get all the final details taken care of. 15 days is long time to be gone (but seemingly short for a European vacation.)
I believe we should have internet access most the time and I hope to find a few minutes each day to post an update here. I will also be uploading the latest pictures to http://www.afamily.org/gallery/. You may need an account so email me and I will get one setup. With an account you will be able to create galleries and upload pictures of your own.
More information about the trip is coming in the days before we leave.
